Flat door canopies — timeless
The flat canopy is the most versatile: a rectangular hood set to a gentle fall, carried on two scrolled brackets. Its restraint lets it agree with almost any façade — from a rural longhouse to a contemporary town house.
Flat door canopies: our models
Versatility made canopy
Where the fan demands an ornamented façade, the flat canopy fits anywhere: its plain drawing creates no dissonance, and that is exactly why it is the best-selling model. The gentle fall sheds rain, brackets in 16 mm round iron scrollwork carry the load, and the front edge can stay bare or take a decorative valance depending on the character you are after.
Bare or with a valance
The bare version, with a simple edge, plays discretion and budget: it is the entry-level flat canopy, from €1,200. The valanced version adds a scalloped frieze under the edge — lace in cut sheet or wrought iron that animates the whole and recalls the seaside canopies of the Normandy coast. Allow €250 to €400 more depending on the pattern.
The right dimensions
Width: the door plus 20 to 30 cm of overhang each side. Projection: 80 to 100 cm to give real shelter. The fall is calculated to stay invisible from the street while shedding water back to the wall. All our flat models are made from 120 to 250 cm wide.
