Fan canopy “1900” €2,000 – 3,500
A faithful reproduction of the Parisian fan of the Belle Époque: nine solid iron ribs springing from a common point, a curved scalloped edge, and two S-scroll brackets. The great classic of the Haussmann façade.

The drawing
Nine solid iron ribs in 20 × 6 mm, hot-forged at their springing — not bolted. The scalloped edge is cut and then hand-filed, which gives it the living undulation that industry cannot reproduce. The S-scroll brackets carry the load back into the wall with elegance.
Which façade
Manor houses, town mansions, 1880-1930 blocks: anywhere the mouldings call for a radiating drawing. On a very plain façade, look instead at the flat canopy on brackets.
